About ANEW Village

Empowering Birth & Nurturing Community

At ANEW Village, we are dedicated to strengthening the circle of care around birthing people and families. We teach and mentor students preparing to become doulas, support active doulas with resources and guidance in the field, and serve our community through compassionate birth, postpartum, and lactation support. Through education, advocacy, and hands-on care, we create a village where every family and every doula feels seen, supported, and empowered.

Message From Our Founder

Where care & love convene, since 2014.

ANEW Village exists to empower, encourage, and support womxn, birthing people, and their families at every stage of life. We envision a world where every birth is honored, every parent is uplifted, and every family has access to the care and resources they need to thrive. Through education, community programs, and the support of dedicated doulas, we strive to dismantle barriers to equitable care and create a culture where wellness, resilience, and joy are nurtured across generations. Our vision is not just about birth, but about building a lasting village of compassion and empowerment for all.

Our Vision

ANEW Village Doula Collective provides professional development, mentorship, and administrative support to help doulas grow and sustain their practices. Through bootcamps, workshops, and specialized programs—including PAIL support and our Fatherhood Program—we equip doulas with the tools to meet diverse community needs while focusing fully on client care.

Our Mission

At ANEW Village Doula Collective, our mission is to empower and support community-based doulas, particularly from underserved communities, to elevate maternal health care in New York City and beyond. We work to build a compassionate, well-prepared workforce that delivers client-centered, culturally sensitive care to strengthen families and communities.

Core Values

We support aspiring and practicing doulas, new and expectant fathers, and pregnant and postpartum individuals—particularly within Black and underserved communities. Through our programs, we meet the unique needs of families and doulas, creating pathways for better maternal outcomes and stronger communities.
